Customer Reviews
I ordered the Bismillah Islamic Wall Frame Silver and paid a substantial international delivery charge, followed by additional import VAT/customs charges before the parcel could be delivered.
When the parcel arrived, the glass was completely shattered. I could literally hear the broken glass moving inside the package before I had even fully unpacked it.
For a fragile glass frame being shipped internationally, the protection was clearly inadequate for the journey.
What makes the experience considerably worse is the customer service afterwards.
I contacted the seller regarding the problem and did not receive a proper resolution from them. I ultimately had to pursue the matter through the dispute process rather than having the seller simply deal with the damaged order directly.
The purchase itself has now been refunded, but I am still having to pursue the separate import charges that I personally paid to receive a product that arrived unusable.
So the overall result was:
– a fragile item arriving completely shattered;
– expensive international shipping;
– additional import charges;
– no satisfactory handling of the problem by the seller;
– and a dispute process required to recover the purchase price.
And now, 14 days after the purchase, I have received an automated email from The Islamic Shop asking me to review my experience.
So here it is: 1 star.
I would not order a fragile item from this store again unless they substantially improve both their international packaging and their handling of damaged orders.
